Hi Zdenko Krivohlavek
Working as: Operations Manager
Works at: Proton Engineering
What drives me forward in my work is being a good team leader who makes sure that everyone in the group shines in their respective machine groups so that they do a good job efficiently and with the right quality.
01
How did you end up at Proton?
I knew about the company because my grandfather and grandmother worked here in the 60s and 70s and liked it very much, which made me interested in working here. At the age of 16, I participated in an apprenticeship organised by the company, which was then called Anders Krahner AB. I thought that manual MAG welding was the most interesting to work with so then I got a good training at the factory which led to me welding for 23 years. Due to health problems, I had to retrain as a pipe bender on the same bending machines that I have worked with for 24 years now.

What drives your work forward?
What drives me forward in my work is being a good team leader, making sure that everyone in the group gets to shine in their respective machine groups, that they do a good job efficiently and with the right quality.
03
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I prefer to read Teknikens värld and Vi bilägare and watch YouTube, especially about sports car tests. I enjoy playing pool and bowling – even though I’m not very good at it.
04
If you have to choose – never go indoors again or never go outdoors again?
Never again indoors, I want to be outdoors!
